SACRED//TRASH  IS A WORKING SOUND AND VISUAL INSTALLATION BETWEEN DAVID LACKNER AND GABRIELLE MULLER.

Drawing upon a visual and sound vocabulary both imagined and rooted in traditional symbolism, this sound and visual installation searches to create the feeling of a sacred space for the viewer, though retaining an essence of impermanence and flux. One large, gold speaker, sounding a 64 HZ drone with a central pulse, as part of a central shrine. Five additional gold speakers around the room all sounding independent musical phrases using metric modulation and repetition over the central pulse and drone (in Lackner’s repeater style), make up a long durational prepared composition, which aids in unfolding the imagery and furthers the intended ambiance.
